Axis Labels tab (Chart Settings dialog box)

 

 

Visible

Shows or hides the labels for the currently selected axis.

 

Multiline

Specifies that label text is broken into lines at every space character found in the Values Format character string.

 

Show Ends

Shows or hides axis labels at the minimum and maximum values of the axis extent.

 

Round First

Specifies that the first axis label is rounded to the nearest magnitude about the minimum axis value; otherwise, the first axis label is set to the minimum axis value.

 

Font

Displays the Choose Font dialog box to specify a font for the axis label text.

 

Dist

Specifies the distance as a percentage of the chart panel extent between the axis title and the axis border.

 

Angle

Specifies the angle in degrees for the orientation of the axis label text in 90-degree increments.

 

Min. Separation

Specifies the percent amount of minimum distance between axis labels.

 

Values Format

Specifies a character string used to format the axis label values. Refer to Specifying Chart Value Formats for a discussion on this topic.

 

Style

Specifies the style for the axis labels:

 

Auto

Chooses the style automatically.

 

None

Hides all axis labels.

 

Value

Specifies that the axis labels are based on the axis extent and increment values.

 

Mark

Specifies that the axis labels display the visible chart series point values.

 

Text

Specifies that the axis labels display the chart series text labels.
