Header and Footer Settings dialog box

HeaderAndFooterDlg

Use this dialog box to specify header and footer text that appears in Predictive Systems Lab's printed documents.

Header and Footer

Specifies formatting text and position. This grid box contains two tabs, the Header and Footer tabs, with three columns and ten rows each, for typing the header and footer information.

On these tabs, the column headers A, B, and C correspond to text that will appear left-, center-, and right-aligned, respectively, on the printed document (see figure above).

Information typed in any of the cells of the grid is reproduced to the printed document. In addition to this, the Header and Footer box accepts the indication of predefined text-holders:

TokenText
$APredictive Systems Lab.
$DThe current date and time.
$FThe document file name.
$NThe total number of pages.
$PThe current page number.
$RThe currently active document worksheet name.

Font

Displays the Choose Font dialog box to specify the font for selected text you have typed in the Header and Footer grid box.

Distance to Frame

Allows you to specify the vertical space between the header text and the top margin (Header box), or between the footer text and the bottom margin (Footer box). The value you type in these boxes can be interpreted to represent inches or centimeters, depending on whether one of the unit tokens, in or cm, is specified immediately after the value. If the unit token is omitted, or if the token is spelled other than described, the value of the distance is interpreted as inches.

Page Numbering

First Page Number

Specifies the first page number for printing documents. Subsequent pages are numbered after this value.
