Specifying Input Arguments |
![]() ![]() ![]() |
In Predictive Systems Lab, command input arguments are specified by one or two input ranges, together with a context by which to interpret the contents of these ranges. For most operations, it is sufficient to indicate whether the Input Range box consists of series that are organized in columns, the default, or alternatively, in rows, using the Series in Rows option.
![]() | You will find other Input specification formats in the Help sections about the commands that requires them. |
In general, the following options indicate command input arguments throughout Predictive Systems Lab:
Valid Input Range
Provides a reference to the extent of the data available in the currently active worksheet. Use this range as a guide for typing valid extents in the Input Range box.
![]() | You can copy the text in this box to the Input Range box, where you can then modify it according to your requirements. |
Input Range
Specifies the range of cells that are to be used as input to the command.
![]() | Commands that require input arguments will transfer the current selection, if one is available, to this box when the command is selected. |
Series in Rows
Specifies that the data indicated by the Input Range box is organized in rows as opposed to columns (the default).
Refer to Specifying Cell Ranges and Locations for additional information on this subject.
