Chart Range dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify data you want to chart, as follows:

 

1.Specify the range for the list of series you want to chart:

 

Valid Input Range

Provides a reference to the extent of the data available in the currently active worksheet. Use this range as a guide for typing valid extents in the Input Range box.

 

Input Range

Type in this box the range of cells containing the data you want to use as input for this command.

 

Series in Rows

Check this box to indicate that the data specified by the Input Range is organized in rows as opposed to columns (the default).

 

Refer to Specifying Input Arguments for additional information on this subject.

 

2.Select the context of the values from the Values Context list:

 

Automatic

Indicates Predictive Systems Lab to present you the full choice of chart types that can be mapped to the Input Range series.

 

Implicit

Indicates that the x-values for the chart are implicit, given by the order of the elements in the Input Range series.

 

Explicit

Indicates that the Input Range includes series for all the required dimensional components.

 

Grid

Indicates that the Input Range represents a two-dimensional grid, where cell values correspond to z-values and their relative horizontal and vertical positions in the grid to the x- and y-coordinates, respectively.

 

3.Click OK to continue charting and close the dialog box, or click Cancel to cancel charting and close the dialog box.
