Add Series dialog box

Use this dialog box to add new graphs to an existing chart.

 

Input

Specifies the worksheet location of the input data for this operation.

 

Open Documents

Select from this list the document that contains the information you want to plot.

 

Available Sheets

Select from this list the sheet that contains the information you want to plot.

 

Valid Input Range

Provides a reference to the valid extent of the currently selected document worksheet. Use this range as a guide for typing valid extents in the Input Range box.

 

Input Range

Type in this box the range of cells containing the data you want to use as input for this command.

 

Series in Rows

Check this box to indicate that the data specified by the Input Range is organized in rows as opposed to columns (the default).

 

Values Context

Specifies the context by which to interpret the values indicated by the Input Range.

 

Automatic

Select this option to specify you want to select from any chart type that can be mapped to the information specified by the Input Range.

 

Implicit

Select this option to specify you want to select from any chart type that can be mapped to the information specified by the Input Range, given the fact that x-coordinate values are implicitly given by the order of the elements.

 

Explicit

Select this option to specify you want to select from any chart type that can be mapped to the information specified by the Input Range, given the fact that the input series include values for all their dimensional components.

 

Grid

Select this option to specify you want to select from any chart type that can be mapped to the information specified by the Input Range, given the fact that the Input Range represents a two-dimensional grid, where cell values correspond to z-values and their relative horizontal and vertical positions in the grid to the x- and y-coordinates, respectively.

OK

Closes the dialog box and carries out this operation.

 

Cancel

Closes the dialog box without carrying out this operation.
