Frequency Custom page (Digital Filter Design wizard)

Top  Previous  Next

Use this page to specify the minimum detectable bandwidth of custom designed filters. By specifying a minimum transition bandwidth and a number of points for the indicated bandwidth, you can tailor your filters to an acceptable level of detail.

Arguments

Min. Transition Bandwidth

Type in this box the minimum transition bandwidth in normalized form (i.e., a value between 0 and 0.5) you want the filter to be able to recognize.

Transition Bandwidth Points

Type in this box the number of sampling points for the specified Min. Transition Bandwidth you want the algorithm that generates the filter to use.

noteThe combination of the quantities specified in the Min. Transition Bandwidth and the Transition Bandwidth Points boxes determine the minimum bandwidth the filter is capable to detect.

Min. Detectable Bandwidth

Displays the minimum bandwidth the filter is capable to detect as a reference.
