Top  Previous  Next

Use this page to specify the type and format for exporting binary files.

Write a File Header

Check this box to write a leading binary value indicating the number of fields in each binary line.

Header Data Type

Integer

Select this option to write the header value as a binary integer.

Floating-Point

Select this option to write the header value in floating-point representation.

NoteOnly IEEE floating-point representation is supported.

Header Type Size

Select from this list the size in bytes of the selected Header Data Type.

1 Byte

Select this option to set the length of the header data type to one byte (valid for integer types only).

2 Bytes

Select this option to set the length of the header data type to two bytes (valid for integer types only).

4 Bytes

Select this option to set the length of the header data type to four bytes.

8 Bytes

Select this option to set the length of the header data type to eight bytes.

Data Type

The options in this list are currently disabled because only floating point values can be used for writing the data section of binary files.

Data Type Size

Select from this list the size in bytes of the selected Data Type.

4 Bytes

Select this option to set the length of the binary data type to four bytes.

8 Bytes

Select this option to set the length of the binary data type to eight bytes.

NoteOnly IEEE floating-point representation is supported.

Byte Order

Select from this list the byte order in which to encode binaries.

Little Endian

Select this option to encode binary bytes using the little-end-first convention, where bytes at lower memory addresses have lower significance.

Big Endian

Select this option to encode binary bytes using the big-end-first convention, where bytes at lower memory addresses have higher significance.
