Area Series Format tab (Chart Settings dialog box)

 

 

Pattern

Displays the Pattern Properties dialog box to specify area pattern settings.

 

Stairs

Specifies that area segments are drawn along the horizontal axis first.

 

Inverted

If Stairs is selected, this option specifies drawing area segments along the vertical axis first.

 

Border

Displays the Border Properties dialog box to specify area border settings.

 

Area Lines

Displays the Border Properties dialog box to specify area lines settings.

 

Area Grouping

If you have more than one Area series in the same chart, you can choose to group them as follows:

 

None

No grouping takes place.

 

Stacked

Area segments are drawn on top of each other using original point heights.

 

Stacked 100%

Area segments are drawn on top of each other using the ratio of each of the original point heights to the sum of point heights at each horizontal level.

 

Color Each

Specifies that area segments are drawn using different colors.

 

Color

Displays the Choose Color dialog box to specify a base color for the currently selected chart series.
