Style

Specifies a bar type for the chart series. Select Rectangle, Pyramid, Down Pyramid, Cylinder, Elliptical, Arrow, Gradient, or Cone.

 

NoteThe Gradient style is only effective when the 3-Dimensions box (Chart 3-D tab) is clear.

 

Border

Displays the Border Properties dialog box to specify bar border settings.

 

Pattern

Displays the Pattern Properties dialog box to specify bar pattern settings.

 

Color Each

Specifies that series bars are drawn using different colors.

 

Color

Displays the Choose Color dialog box to specify a base color for the currently selected chart series.

 

TipYou can click the ChartOptsChartSeriesTabColor box to display the Choose Color dialog box for the same purpose.

 

Use Origin

Specifies that bar origins are set to the value indicated in the box to the right; otherwise bar origins are set to the minimum series value.

 

Width (%)

Specifies the percent of total bar width. Setting this option to 100 has the effect of extending the width of all bars until they join.

 

Offset (%)

Specifies bar displacement as a percentage of bar size.

 

Grouping

If you have more than one Bar or Horizontal Bar series in the same chart, you can choose to group them as follows:

 

None

No grouping takes place.

 

Side

Bars are drawn next to each other on the same plane.

 

Stacked

Bars are drawn on top of each other using the original bar heights.

 

Stacked 100%

Bars are drawn on top of each other using the ratio of each of the original bar heights to the sum of bar heights at each point.

 

Dark 3-D Sides

Specifies that bar elements are drawn using dark shadows for a three-dimensional effect.

 

NoteThis option is only effective when the 3-Dimensions box (Chart 3-D tab) is selected.

 

Side Margins

Specifies the first and last bars to display separated from the chart edge.

 

Automatic Marks

Specifies that series marks are placed at the end of bars to avoid overlap.
