Import File Description wizard

 

This wizard allows you to describe the encoding and format of the document files you want to import.

 

You can import from two different file encodings:

 

ANSI Data Files

Consisting of structured information in ANSI representation.

 

Binary Data Files

Consisting of structured information in computer binary representation.

 

The wizard consists of three pages:

 

The Import File Description page

Allows you to specify the import file type and error recovery procedures.

 

The ANSI Description page

Allows you to specify the description of ANSI data files.

 

The Binary Description page

Allows you to specify the description of binary data files.

 

To import a file, select the corresponding type for the file in the Import File Description page and click the Next button to continue the import process. In any of the subsequent pages, you can click the Back button to return to the previous page, or the Finish button to import the file and close the wizard. You can also click the Cancel button to close the wizard and stop the import process.

 

Clicking the Help button displays Help for the currently active page.
